Near Field ElectroSpinning（NFES） can be used to place single micrometer-scale fibers on various substrates in a direct, continuous, and controllable manner. A metal or glass spinneret with tip diameter of 1~100 μm is used to construct micro-fibers of 1-100µm line width on silicon-based collectors while the liquid polymer solution is supplied. The minimum electrode-to-collector distance is 500 μm to achieve position controllable deposition. Charged nanofibers can be orderly collected.
